Aditi is one of the first people I followed on Bookstagram and her reviews kept me on there till now. She’s also among the first people I approached to do this series but I ended up displacing the interview. So this is a lost file I’m bringing to you. I hope you enjoy just as I did.
Grab your cuppa and let’s dive in.
1.Tell me a little about yourself.
I’m a software professional working in IT industry, so besides
having a hectic 5 days in a week 10-7 working shift, I still manage to
read voraciously whenever I find a little free time in my hand. My
mantra is: “Life is short, so explore the world as much as possible”
and by exploring I do not mean that going out on trips now and then,
but by reading books, which is almost the same thing, only difference
is that you get to explore the world at the very comfort of your own
home and by your mind’s visually imaginative window.
2.What are you currently reading?
I am currently reading: An Excess Male by Maggie Shen King (a dystopian novel)
3.What is your favorite genre and why?
My favorite genre is Mystery, crime and thriller, why? Because I
love that rush, adrenaline feel, gripping tension, complex plot, edgy
suspense, multi-dimensional characters, the passion and the intensity,
I love a good challenge, hence crime fiction are my favorite.
4.What do you think about the reading culture in India?
The reading culture in India is growing at a really fast rate now,
I can clearly remember 5 years ago, the reading culture or rather say,
the reading habit amongst the Indian readers was too bleak, but with
the boom of social media, especially Twitter, Goodreads and Instagram,
and the publishing agencies’ trick to get their newbie books reviewed
for free, reading culture has improved a lot, and it’s a really good
thing for our country.
5.Name 3 reading habits you have
I read while I commute to my workplace, so that has turned into a
habit of mine,
I use bookmarks instead of dog-earring my dear books.
I have a habit of reading books during sunset, God knows why, never got
to figure that out.
6.What is one book you recommend to people?
The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho for self discovery and for believing
in the power of dreams.
7.Where can we find you?
Instagram: Adi_bibliophile91 and of course on my blog,
BookStopCorner
If you liked this post you can read more CoffeeWithFay here where I talk to incredible people. 🙂
