Hello, loves. I hope July is being good to you. On the 26th of June my blog turned 3. I still can’t believe it has been three years. Wow!

I have spent the last few days reflecting on the journey it has been, and honestly, I wouldn’t change a thing. If you are new to Suckerforcoffe – hi & welcome ?- and you are curious about the name and the genesis of it all, you can find a detailed post here.

I’d like to believe in the 3 years I have been actively blogging I have gained some insights, rather some experience. Today I want to share 3 things that I know for sure. I genuinely believe that they have made me a better blogger.
1. Write what you know, and love. I can’t stress this enough. People can perceive when something is forced. If you love what you are writing, others will too.

2. Blogging fatigue is real. Suckerforcoffe is a niche blog where I mainly focus on books and bookish stuff. Reading the books and writing reviews are two different ‘jobs’ and it can get overwhelming at times. Taking breaks from time to time helps as it gives you a chance to recharge.

3. A notebook and pen. There are so many tools that help, and make blogging easier. For me the two that I constantly reach out for is my notebook and pen. Ideas tend to come to me at odd times and places and if I don’t put it down immediately, I forget them. Your phone’s notes will work too, but any chance to buy a new notebook, right?

I have learnt a lot through blogging, made amazing friends in the community and discovered so many books. I can’t wait to see how Suckerforcoffe grows in the coming months, years.

What’s the one thing you know for sure? What advice would you give to a new blogger?
